Notes from the Road

Starting in 2016, instead of publishing a calendar we thought it would be fun to publish thoughts and comments from Brian experiences on the road. He's one of America's busiest and in-demand motivational speakers so there are always lots of things to report. Here's a full run-down of his most recent Notes from the Road.

Last week I had the joy and privilege to do my 30th presentation for PriceWaterhouseCoopers at the Hilton in downtown Atlanta. The energy was supercharged as 500 top recruits for the dynamic firm along with almost 100 PWC staff broke through with me to end their three day Elevate event. This is one of the most exciting, fun, and fast-paced events I do each year and I LOVE it!  The PWC team is first class and the recruits are the best of the best!

Two days later I did another event I do each year for young people. These are high school students at the Rotary Youth Leadership event. Several years ago a wonderful long-time Rotary volunteer named Rod Webb asked if I would work with the high school students. He was so passionate about the kids, so kind and giving, I happily agreed to gift the event. Rod passed away not long after that first event and I have continued to gift this event each year when my schedule allows. Rod's daughter Jennifer has taken up the mantle for Rod and it is an honor to serve her and these awesome young leaders in memory of Rod.

Happy Independence Day to all!

It's been a sensational time doing this work I love so much!

Today I spoke for the People Department at Southwest Airlines in Dallas. There is a reason why Southwest is so extraordinary. It is their remarkable people. Their culture of fun and service is truly special!

What an honor to spend time with them!

Recently I also enjoyed back to back presentations, first for the LHC Group in Louisiana and the next day for CSpire in Mississippi. These two companies are fanatical about service and excellence so I was singing to the choir!  (Don't panic, I really didn't sing!). Both teams played full out and were hungry to learn and grow!

March 18, 2016

What an exhilarating and inspiring last couple of weeks on the road! First I zipped down to Hilton Head, SC to speak for my great friend Bob Clarkson and his fast-growing Alliance Real Estate Group.  I worked with Bob on more than a dozen RE/MAX events over the years and he is one in a trillion!  Alliance is generating phenomenal results and growth in the Hilton Head real estate market and it was both a privilege and a BLAST to bring them Breakthrough Leadership!

Next I relished the WOO to speak for the American Rental Association at the convention center in Atlanta.  The audience was filled with small business owners from all around the country looking for ways to ignite new success and energy both personally and professionally.  It was a joy to breakthrough with these dedicated business owners.

From Atlanta I headed to the Florida Panhandle for an event at the San Destin Hilton for an AWESOME team from Paradigm Investments.  This was a group of general managers from Hardee's franchises throughout the Southeast.  These were fantastic people...one of the most energized and exciting teams I've had the joy to work with.  They now hold a very special place in my heart. To wrap up a whirlwind tour, I headed back to South Carolina to present my 18th event for United States Gypsum.  The team I worked with under the tremendous authentic leadership of Chris Lawson focuses on Continuous Improvement throughout USG.  These leaders were fully engaged and included more than 20 Six Sigma Black Belts ... the highest level of achievement in the field of Continuous Improvement.  It was truly inspiring to work with a team so committed to building engagement and excellence in everyone they touch!

Back to NYC for more publisher meetings! What a way to kick off February!

Closing Speaker for Goodyear!

Fresh from the wonderful meetings with publishers, I zipped down to the Gaylord Hotel at National Harbor in Washington DC. There I delivered the closing session for nearly 2,000 store owners and dealers who team with Goodyear throughout the Americas. The energy, emotion, fun, and impact was incredible as these terrific people participated in an unforgettable BREAKTHROUGH experience!

January 2016 - What an incredible 8 days!

The week of January 25 began with 3 exciting days in New York City with my incomparable literary agent Margret McBride, to promote my new book: Seize the WOO! to potential publishers. We had six tremendous meetings with the top publishers of leadership and motivational books in the world! I'm so humbled to be represented by Margret who has been the agent for Ken Blanchard, Spencer Johnson, and Brian Tracy. She is simply the BEST!

January 12, 2016 - Opryland Hotel, Nashville, TN

A wonderful half-day event today for one of the leading international companies in high tech medical equipment. I love the WOO to work with teams that save lives and touch families. This team has been through enormous change in the past couple of years, but the energy, focus, and passion that was generated today was magnificent!

January 7, 2016 - Westin Hotel, Dallas, TX

I am the luckiest man on the face of the earth!
Today’s event was for the leaders of a fantastic direct sales company marketing fine men’s clothing. I felt AMAZING decked out in the exquisitely fitted suit they sent me for the event. This leadership “Base Camp” brought together the company’s top 150 leaders. The energy and passion of the session was tremendous!

January 6, 2016 - Hyatt Regency, Port of Spain, Trinidad

What a sensational team of professionals I had the WOO (Window of Opportunity) to speak for in Trinidad on Wednesday! Around 1,000 attended a terrific “Blast Off” into 2016. All were up on their feet inspired to breakthrough in the New Year!
